I am on a roll. Now, if only it will keep me rolling. I've got socks and a purse to complete and please, please, let me finish them so I can work on new and exciting projects without feeling guilty about the sock (which was a birthday present to my husband OVER A MONTH A AGO) and the purse (which is a birthday present for someone whose birthday was at the very beginning of May).
So, without further ado, let me introduce you to Nicholas, the bear I started way back in February and first blogged about on March 1. Nicholas, if you recall, is named after our dog Ted. Yes, well, let me explain. Ted is a chocolate lab and so is much the same color as Nicholas. My dad gave Ted a nick-name: Nick. So, perfect sense, right? Right. Here you go, Nicholas in all his completed glory:
Several weeks ago I started another bear and kept careful notes so I can write out a pattern. Hopefully I will be able to complete that in a reasonable amount of time. When I do I will post it here, along with (hopefully) a pants pattern. I think I will start over, however, and rework the pattern either with Cascade 220 or a double strand of the Patons since this yarn was so thin. As you can see in the pictures, there are a few spots where the stuffing is peeking through.
